Carlin/White has designed numerous office/retail and retail shopping center projects, from small 40,000 square foot shopping centers to 250,000 square foot multi-tenant centers in Saudi Arabia that included a mosque, park, and medical clinic.

The project on this page is an example of a smaller retail project.

Located at the southwest corner of Waugh and Allen Parkway, the 43,000 square foot Waugh Shopping Center has the distinction of being a two story building with open balcony access to the second floor.

There are two elevators and three stair towers serving the second floor.  The second story was developed to offset the high cost of the land.

But regardless of project size, the understanding and orchestration of the many complex issues involved is the key to successfully blending both aesthetics and economics.
